All of us at Gem Marketing Pearls recognize and accept the responsibilities bestowed upon us as we balance the challenges of supplying these beautiful treasures from the sea in a competitive, conscientious, considerate, sustainable and forward-thinking way. It is also our desire to be advocates of these modern pursuits. We wish to “walk-the-walk when it comes to being an example to those who have anticipated and are ready for industry-wide change. Good business is possible while promoting and advocating a sustainable future for the pearl, and the people who love them. Sustainability is the ultimate goal. “Tahiti” is proud to say the pearl industry is the least damaging, most environmentally conscious sector of the entire jewelry industry. The Gem Marketing Pearls philosophy towards a sustainable world is not only “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” whenever possible, but to partner with those who also recognize the need for and are anticipating positive change in our industry. Less fortunate children:

We are committed to helping make the lives of less fortunate children a focus of our ever-expanding philanthropic work, because, “They Are Our Future”. “Tahiti” has been personally involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northern Arizona for over 22 years. Because of the focus on mentoring and its resulting high success rate, we feel the work BB/BS does and the lasting, positive impact on the children they serve is second to none.

We hope to soon locate and support a “mirror” organization chartered to provide the same excellent programs to the children of Tahiti, French Polynesia and the surrounding Islands. We hope to help encourage these indigenous children to become a part of the pearl culturing industry as a way to become successful members of their own culture, and the world.

Building Community:

Everyone who is a part of the Gem Marketing team, including our customers, is encouraged to put their “philanthropic” foot forward in the pursuit of making the world a better place for all of us.  In addition to the organizations linked below, the following represents other areas of interest to the employees and associates of Gem Marketing Pearls: coral reef preservation, indigenous culture preservation, political involvement on National and pearl industry issues, Permaculture and animal rescue efforts.
